This stunning, silver enamel, bracelet was made by the celebrated Norwegian silversmith, Ivar T Holth. The silver has a fine gold wash. With its distinctly deco style I believe it was made in the 1930s or 1940s. The bracelet 7 and 3/8(19cms) long and is 7/8 (2.2cms) wide. It weighs 32.3 grams so is quite heavy. It consists of fourteen, gently curved panels. They are enamelled in sunshine yellow. Beneath the enamel is a lovely design of fine lines radiating outwards from a central diamond shape. The outer edges are scalloped silver with delicate engraving and the panels are joined top and bottom with single links. The bracelet fastens with a push in clasp which holds firm. The back has a pale gold wash. The back of the clasp is inscribed Sterling Norway with an H in a circle, the mark of Ivar T Holth. At the other end the push in section is also marked with an H but the silver there has the stronger quality of’ 830s’ silver. This very rare and most beautiful bracelet, is in excellent vintage condition with all the enamel and gold wash intact. It would make a wonderful gift for someone special! It comes to you carefully presented in a gift box ready to give or to keep. The item “Norwegian Art Deco Silver Enamel Bracelet IVAR T HOLTH Rare” is in sale since Friday, April 29, 2016.
