1930’s Art Deco Large Teal & Aqua Rhinestones Huge Centerpiece Brass Bracelet
I have collected vintage costume jewelry for over 25 years, and have some fabulous pieces/sets. I will be listing most of them in the next months/years (however long it takes to pare down my extensive collection). Please keep an eye on my listings, as some wonderful items will be for sale. This is a lush and ornate bracelet estimated to be from the Art Deco age of the 1930’s. The focal point of the piece would be the massive antiqued brass, carved centerpiece containing one large oval-shaped teal blue-green rhinestone in a brilliant field of metalwork. It is set in the center of the antiqued brass-carved oval-shaped centerpiece. The carving in the brass-plated metal consists of lacy filigree, flowers and leaves, and other figures which resemble seashells. The carving is very ornate, and is set with 4 more aqua faceted round rhinestones on the outer edges of the centerpiece. The piece is quite elaborate with antiqued brass-toned metalwork, and a mesh of sorts connecting the centerpiece to both ends of the bracelet. The metalwork on the bracelet is quite smooth. The mesh appears as if it is made of 6 brass chains woven together to form the mesh-like material. ITEM: Unsigned Art Deco Bracelet. STONES/COLORS: Large brilliant teal blue-green, oval-shaped rhinestone in the middle of the ornately-carved antiqued brass centerpiece, along with 4 smaller rounds in aqua on the outside of the centerpiece. All stones are prong-set or channel-set, and are faceted, with all present and bright and clear. The huge teal stone is closed-backed and amazingly clear with little wear consistent with age. METAL COLOR: Shiny antiqued brass-toned metal, very smooth, with mesh on either side of the centerpiece. The mesh appears to be woven of 6 chains, all together. It’s a wonderful piece. CONDITION/FLAWS: Very good condition with very little wear, consistent with age, to the stones or shiny antiqued brass-toned metalwork of the centerpiece and chains/mesh. The large teal stone and the other stones are closed-backed, prong or channel-set, faceted, and bright and clear with very minimal wear. There is nothing detracting about this bracelet. The wear is very minimal. There are a couple of tiny places on the mesh sides that might be a bit darker than others, but it does not compromise the beauty of this piece. MEASUREMENTS: Bracelet – 6 1/2 in. Long by 2 in. Wide at huge centerpiece. It has no safety chain. He kind of stunning bracelet that can be worn with anything, dressy or not.
